Maccao Straight to Anchor.
The General Cargo Ship Macco Straight, running for Melfi, arrived a day early today from Lisbon Portugal. She is scheduled to tie up at pier 41/42 tomorrow. Those piers are currently occupied by ZIM Constanza and Ernest Hemingway, so she will spend the day at anchor in the Inner harbour.
BBC Ohio Loads Boiler
The General cargo Ship BBC Ohio arrived yesterday to load a boiler that arrived from the manufacturer on a railcar. It is unclear if she has additional cargo to load, though her hatches are open.
Nounou for Tufts Cove.
The Tanker Nounou spent the weekend tied up at Tufts Cove topping up the tanks at NSP’s Power plant. She moved to Anchor this morning for bunkers.
Frontier Discovery
Lastweek brought a stopover of the laden capesize bulker Frontier Discovery for bunkers. As a cape size, she is too large to fit through either the Panama or Suez Canals, and is typically restricted to working one ocean, as leaving requires sailing around the southern tip of Africa or South America.
She doesn’t look that large form this angle, but the bridge wings certainly give her away.
