Todays Traffic

The SE Viridian Tied Up at Pier 30. She was carrying a cargo of wind turbine Parts. Owned by ES Shipping lines,who specialize in Wind turbine cargo, she was built in 1998.

Also Arriving and picking up her Pilot at 1100 with SE Viridian, was the Tsing Ma Bridge – a regular on the K-Line Route.

The Geja C remained tied up at Pier 27.

And the Cruise Ship Ocean Princess was at Pier 22. This is her first trip of the year to Halifax.

Lady Christina for Bunkers

The general Cargo ship Lady Christina Arrived for bunkers this afternoon. She is Relatively small at 108m LOA. She is owned by Wijnne Barends Logistics and registered in the Netherlands.

She has a rather unique crane on deck for handling hatches, and presumably Cargo as well.

CLIPPER MERLIN

CLIPPER MERLIN tied up at Pier 24 this morning to Load Industrial Components Directly from RailCar.. At 100m in Length (650teu) she is a relatively small vessel, and an carry both Containers and Break Bulk loads in her hold.

BBC Holland

BBC Holland Tied up at the Cherubini Wharf, BBC Holland is likely loading large Steel bridge components (Based on what was in their yard a few weeks ago. Cherubini specializes in heavy and light structural steel, bridges, platework, pressure vessels, transmission towers and miscellaneous fabrications, and has a wharf off their facility in Eastern passage. (just past Imperial Oil)

Bunkering

Federal Pioneer making a short stop to bunker. She is Scheduled to sail at 1700.
Bunkering is the process of refueling a ship, whereby a taker (in Halifax, The Algoma Dartmouth) or a barge comes along side and transfers Fuel.
