General Cargo Vessel STATENGRACHT arrived last night. She appears to be loading Heavy Equipment parts that arrived earlier by Rail.
She Has an interesting Configuration, with 2 cranes on the Port Side, and a Single Crane, and 2 Cargo Elevators on the Starboard. STATENGRACHT was built in 2004.
Through The Train Geek I learned that 2 British Steam Locomotives would be returning to England. The First, the Dwight D. Eisenhower arrives on the 19th, and has been transferred to Trailers, presumably to be loaded on a UK Bound ACL Vessel on Monday.
A second Locomotive, The Dominion of Canada will also be returned to England in the coming weeks.

Hot on the heels of Lady Christinas Bunker stop earlier this week, Sister ship Lady Claudia Stopped this evening for bunkers. She’s Scheduled to depart at 0600 so a photo is unlikely.

Algoma Dartmouth Has just departed the Christina C, at anchor in the inner harbour for bunkers. She departed for Come by Chance NL after 1400.
The Eimskip vessel Skogafoss arrived for a 12 day drydock and work period. She has likely been tied up at woodside, as the Digby/St. John ferry Princess of Acadia is due today at 11 for Emegency repairs, requireing a schedule adjustment.

Another First time caller to Halifax, Lieke is on charter to Nirint. She was Lieke here to load a special break bulk cargo, as she tied up away from container handling or dry bulk handling equipment.
The general Cargo Vessel Apollogracht tied up at Fairview Cove just after 1300, and was loaded and Ready to go by 1530. Though Mostly a Container terminal, Fairview cove does see other cargo, Mostly in the Holds Of ACL Ships; Heavy Equipment and Helicopters are common sights on the Piers there.

UPDATE 1328ADT 03/05/12: AIS Shows her Entering Port in St John NB
Inbound for Pier 9.
She has containers on deck, But may also have Break Bulk Cargo onboard. She is due to move to Pier 30 tonight.
Onego Chinook, currently anchored in the basin, looks an awful lot like MCP Troddos currently at anchor in the inner harbour. this is because they are twins. Both vessels wre built in 2007 by Huanghai Shipbuilding in Rongcheng, China and are managed by Intership Navigation of Cyprus. Onego Chinook was MCP Nicosia until Febuary 2011.
MCP Troodos (ABOVE) is apparently waiting for work, having last departed Trois Rivers Dec 24th. Onego Chinook is Due to dock at pier 27, likely with a load of rail for CN.
Updated now that the weather has allowed me to get a picture of Onego Chinook.
The Eidsvaag Vinland Was found tied up at pier 25.
Vessels with the low slung wheel house normally ply the canals and rivers of Europe, were low bridges are a Navigation issue, however she is Apparently Canadian registered to Norcom Marine of Newfoundland, and owned by Norwegian interests.
She Apparently carries fish food for fish farms between Norway, and Newfoundland.
