the last caller in the rotation on the AL6 service, Brotonne Bridge sailed today just after noon. built in 2010, she is owned by Vancouver’s Seaspan, and is on long term charter to K-Line.

Bilbao Bridge – Backwards
In a nice change, the Bilbao bridge tied up the the west end of Fairview Cove backwards. Ships usually tie up front to sea, but Bilbao Bridge likely requires some sort of work to be done necessitating the backwards docking.
The Ship is Running for the Alliance’s AL6 Route. She is scheduled to sail tonight.
USS Arleigh Burke Visit Today for Bunkers
I wasen’t able to get out to see her arrive, but USS Arleigh Burke (DDG-51) arrived this morning. She tied up at NB, and took bunkers from the Algoma Dartmouth. so I am unsure which vessel it is. It appears to be an USS Arleigh Burke is the first Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer. She was commissioned in 1991, and is home-ported in Norfolk. She is Scheduled to Sail this afternoon around 3pm

The Largest Container Ship to Call in Canada.
On Friday, The Port of Vancouver’s Deltaport welcomed the largest container vessel to call in Canada. The Hapag-Lloyd 13,200 TEU “Antwerpen Express” has been deployed as part of THE Alliance’s Transpacific mainline West Coast PN3 service.
To Date, the Largest vessel to Call in Halifax, was the CMA-CGM Tage, at 9365TEU. Sister ship CMA-CGM Loire is due to call this Saturday,and CMA-CGM Rhone has called in the past.
