30 years ago in 1996, the Irving Whale was raised from the water of PEI, after it sunk in 1970. The barge was loaded with Oil and PCBs and leaked for 26 years untill it was removed.
After it was cleaned up, it was converted to a deck barge, and renamed Atlantic Sealion. The Barge is currently tied up at COVE in Dartmouth.
